Biography
Natasha Jade Melanie Klutchenko was born on March 6th 1989 in Paris, France. She is a fantasy and surrealist artist.
Born with a genetic eye deffieciency which had a sever limitation on her eyesight, Natasha had a childhood cut off from the rest world, until the age of 7 when her parents finally managed to get together enough money to finance an eye operation - saving Natasha from total blindness. However, all those years in the dark didn''t teach her how ro interact with the world around her. A shy,and lonely child, Natasha at first suffered bad results in her academic life and turned away from conventional education. Instead, she became very curious of the world around her, seeing things clearly for the first time in her life, she began to draw every time she had a spare moment. Her ambition was now to become an artist.
Fascinated with the fantasy genre and taking a great interest in design, drawing became her only pride, and gained notoriety and respect in the local area for her work. She attended art school at the age of 16, but left shortly afterwards after a year of hard work: The art school allowed for no creative process whatsoever and imaginative work, especially fantasy was seen as a waste of time. More detemined than ever to pursue her ambition and living in an area where personal safety was an everyday issue, her greatest dream was to just fly away and paint...
Her passion for art further heightened after discovering the works of fantasy artists Sandrine Gestin, Alan Lee, Boris Vallejo and the French surrealist Magritte, Natasha’s efforts were only doubled to forge a path for herself within the fantasy field.
Her art career has since gone from strength to strength when in October 2007 she won a national contest set by the French government to design an AIDS awareness campaign poster. This winning design is now used in schools and health centres around Paris and its suburbs in order to promote sexual health issues among teenage children.
In 2007 Natasha relocated to England.
